The Port-a-Bach House Container House is a container house designed by Atelierworkshop Architects in New Zealand. Its prototype was built in Hangzhou and shipped to New Zealand and is now a permanent collection of the Puke Ariki Museum in New Plymouth. Port-a-Bach is currently only a pilot project and has not achieved commercial production.

The house container house is equipped with cabinets and shelves to provide ample space for the items. It also has a stainless steel kitchen with a shower, sink and toilet, all without prejudice to the surrounding environment. The designer also designed a screen to allow the user to easily separate smaller spaces in the room. With the goal of mobility, stability and safety, the designer divided the container, which is 6 meters in length and about 36 square meters in size, into a bunk bed, a king bed room, a dressing room, a kitchen, a bathroom and an open floor. Functional space such as living room/balcony, equipped with solar and wind energy equipment that meets daily needs, comfortably accommodates two adults plus two children.

The walls of the container house are equipped with movable shafts that can be deployed around to extend the living space to the outdoors. There is a layer of canvas on the steel shell of the container house. When the wall panel of the house is unfolded into a platform, it can be used to build a small living space on the platform. There are 6 reinforced concrete supports at the bottom of the house, allowing users to place container houses in a variety of terrains.

Port-a-bach is a rugged, safe, functional, comfortable living environment that does not pollute the environment and can be easily transported by truck or helicopter, providing a flexible solution for long-term mobile living.
